New Fiat has charm, personality
After all these years, I really should know better. But, no, every time one of these cute, quirky, high-media-buzz vehicles comes along - Volkswagen New Beetle, PT Cruiser, Mini Cooper, Smart fortwo, etc. - I allow myself to be sucked in, only to wonder just what it was I found so charming after the initial hype has faded. Of those four examples, only the Mini Cooper in its multiple permutations retains my respect because - despite its retro styling - it is fundamentally a fun and sporting car.
