CP changes renew Sask. MP Ralph Goodale's calls for legislation to help shippers
With the dust still settling from last week’s housecleaning at the Canadian Pacific Railway, Liberal MP Ralph Goodale has renewed his call for the federal Conservative government to introduce legislation giving shippers — including Saskatchewan farmers and potash mining firms — more clout in dealing with the country’s two big railways. The federal government agrees, but its transport minister says legislation won’t be coming until this autumn, at the earliest.
