Foul play ruled out in death of Lethbridge woman
Investigators have ruled out foul play in the death of a 23-year-old Lethbridge woman who was found floating face down near Cameron Bay in Waterton Lakes National Park on the May long weekend. The dead woman was discovered by canoeists on May 18 at 1:30 p.m. The Calgary RCMP Major Crimes Unit, along with RCMP in Pincher Creek, headed up the investigation.

Alberta Justice files appeal in Allyson McConnell case
Alberta Justice has filed a notice of appeal in the case of Allyson McConnell, the Millet mother who admitted to drowning her two young sons in the family bathtub in early 2010. In a notice filed last week, the appeals branch has requested that the two acquittals on the original charges of second-degree murder be reversed or a new trial be ordered. In April, McConnell was found guilty on the lesser charges of manslaughter.
