CBC: New season, less original programming
Arctic Air, which premiered in January, 2012 has been renewed for a second season. The series premiered with an audience of 1.2 million viewers and has averaged 965,000 viewers in its first season.
The CBC, poised to launch its fall 2012 lineup will have 175 fewer hours of original content, due to federal budget cuts.
