Facing the ultimate in steep and deep
It's a little after 9 a.m. and the large cable car ferrying skiers to the Col des Gentianes at 2,950 metres is packed. Scanning our fellow passengers, the thought occurs that almost everyone on board is of a certain type – that is, young, male and slightly wild-eyed.
