From making pies to making bombs
After a long hiatus from acting to raise her three (now grown) children, Oscar nominee Meg Tilly (Agnes of God) returns to the screen in Globals period drama Bomb Girls, which debuts Jan. 4. The six-part series focuses on the little-told story of the young women who built bombs in Canadian factories during the Second World War, assembling them, polishing them, and often kissing them tenderly before they were shipped to Allied forces fighting on the European front. Produced by Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Films, Bomb Girls demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in depicting the womens lives as they shifted from baking pies to assembling deadly munitions.
