City Seeks Your Input Into Budget Matters

HST on Gas Prices Rising, Punishing Northern Ontario Families

Lisa sends this note Friday evening: My son, Jason Bell, lost his wallet this afternoon...either at Superior Heights or at the John Rhodes Centre oval or change room.It's black and has all his ID in it.If anyone found it would appreciate if they'd drop it in our mail box or call him to pick up (705)971-6798. Money in it is theirs to keep -- we just really want his various cards back.

No Big Winner, Now $81 Million Up for Grabs Next Friday
For the third week in a row, lottery players in Ontario can look on the plus side of LOTTO MAX again. As there was no winning ticket for the $50 million LOTTO MAX jackpot last night, the upcoming LOTTO MAX draw for Friday, March 11 will remain at an estimated $50 million with an additional estimated 31 $1 million MAXMILLIONS prizes up for grabs, bringing the total prize amount to $81 million. Last night's draw for 22 MAXMILLIONS, resulted in five winning tickets in Ontario. Three winning tickets for $1 million were sold in Newmarket, Thunder Bay and Mississauga. Two winning tickets sold in Ottawa and North Bay are worth $500,000. They will each split a MAXMILLIONS prize with another winning ticket from outside the province. North Stars Win in Kapuskasing
By George Parsons The North Stars outscored the Kapuskasing Flyers tonight in Kapuskasing by a score of 4 - 1. Penalties in the game were 12 minutes to the Kap Flyers and 23 minutes to the North Stars. Mathieu Ouellet was stellar between the pipes for the North Stars. The Stars scored 4 goals in the first period to Kaps 1. Scoring for the North Stars were: 1. Kurtis Giommi from Derek Battagin and Luke Buck at 18:33 of the first period. 2. Derek Battagin from Kurtis Giommi and Tyler Brown at 11:05 of the first period. 3. Scott Marshall from Matthew Mitchell and Grant Syrette at 6:49 of the first period. 4. Matthew Mitchell unassisted at 4:19 of the first period. Game four of the best of five series goes at 3:30pm Sunday here in Kapuskasing. Game five of the series will be back in the Sault Tuesday night at 7:30pm at the John Rhodes Arena.
