Obama Injects Himself Into Bios of Past Presidents on WH Website
As unbelievable as it may sound for the sheer arrogance and audacity of it all, President Obama has injected himself into the bios pages of all our past presidents on the official White House website. So, when you go to read about our past presidents you'll also get a campaign blurb about The One, the Obammessiah, the Lightbringer. If this isn't chutzpah, what is?

A Glimmer of Hope for the American Dream
Yesterday in the Senate, America bore witness to the glaringly obvious division in Washington, as stark as the contrast between high noon in the desert and midnight in the mountains. On the one hand is Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-NV) failure to pass a budget over the past three years. And on the other hand is leadership from conservative senators and representatives who have put forward serious proposals to rescue America from its debt and spending crises.

Pay Up--- Or Else
Here are a couple of paragraphs from two stories about the city of Sacramento, California that ought to be required reading, not only for everyone in that state, but anywhere else government resorts to extortion to protect the status quo. And make no mistake: it is extortion, because the taxpaying public is being presented with a series of false either-or choices regarding the government's to fiscal solvency in many communities. This is one variation of a theme that should have a familiar ring to many of you.

How to Write About Israel
Writing about Israel is a booming field. No news agency, be it ever so humble, can avoid embedding a few correspondents and a dog's tail of stringers into Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, to sit in cafes clicking away on their laptops, meeting up with leftist NGO's and the oppressed Muslim of the week.

Brazil Cuts Energy Taxes To Revive Economy
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff plans to cut and simplify taxes for electricity producers and distributors, two senior officials told Reuters, as part of a strategy to reduce Brazil's high business costs and stimulate its struggling economy. Brazil has the world's third-highest power costs, and Rousseff is aiming to give relief to consumers as well as companies in energy-intensive areas such as steel and petrochemicals. Internal government studies suggest that, depending on which taxes are cut, electricity costs could fall by between 3 and 10 percent starting as early as 2013, the officials said.--Brian Winter, Reuters, 16 May 2012

Reflecting on his two terms in office, President George W. Bush said in 2010, "You realize you're not it. You're a part of something bigger than yourself."

Green Agenda In Disarray As German Chancellor Fires Environment Minister
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has sacked her environment minister, Norbert Roettgen, days after he led her party to a crushing defeat in a key regional election. Mr Roettgen was the candidate of Ms Merkel's Christian Democrats for the post of state premier in North-Rhine Westphalia. He was widely blamed for the party's heavy defeat to the Social Democrats. The loss was seen as a serious blow to Ms Merkel's government.--BBC News, 16 May 2012

Newark Airport security deficiencies known by Obama, congress?
The discovery on Monday that an illegal alien--Nigerian national Bimbo Olumuyiwa Oyewole-- held the position of security supervisor at an airport from which United Flight 93 departed on September 11, 2001, and crashed in a Pennsylvania field when terrorists commandeered the plane, has created a firestorm throughout the nation.

Climate Nazis
What is it with the "warmists", Al Gore and his clones who keep insisting the Earth is warming, that too much carbon dioxide (CO2) will be the death of us, and that we have to immediately stop burning "fossil fuels" if we are to save the planet? They are the most relentless liars on the face of the planet.
They want us to cover the surface of the U.S. with solar panels and the mountains with wind turbines to generate the energy needed for everything we do. These Green energy alternatives are so wonderful they are producing a mere three percent of our current needs, require government subsidies and loan guarantees to exist, and tend not to be all that great when the sun isn't shining and the wind isn't blowing.

Political opportunism of the worst kind
A leak of classified information last week by a person or persons unknown in the Obama administration compromised the national security of the United States.

The Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear A Mortarboard
The commencement address has become part of the campaign trail. How better to showcase your candidate as a man with a vision for tomorrow than to feature him passing along some of his wisdom to the people of tomorrow, those bright-eyed and bushy-tailed graduates going off with an average twenty grand in debt into a marketplace with few job prospects.

Why is the New England Historic Genealogical Society Lying Abut Warren's Amer. Indian Claims?
As each day rolls on in this investigation of the claims made by Massachusetts Democrat Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren that she has Native American heritage in her background we are finding fewer and fewer reasons to believe her. Sadly, she is dragging down once well-respected groups with her unprovable claims and Boston-based New England Historic Genealogical Society is one of them.
As this story came to the fore recently one of the main sources that buttressed Warren's now faltering claims that she is part Native American came from the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS). Famously, or perhaps now infamously, NEHGS genealogist Christopher Child substantiated Warren's claim that her great-great-great grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith, had Cherokee blood.

Anti-Terror Alliances: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the United States vs. al-Qaeda and its Affiliates
As the anniversary of Osama Bin Laden's killing (May 1, 2012) approached, al-Qaeda commanders in Saudi Arabia planned a terrorist attack that involved downing a passenger plane in the United States. The attack that was foiled was to be launched by a suicide terrorist carrying explosives in his underwear. The attack was a repeat performance - albeit more sophisticated - of a failed attempt in late 2009 to blow up a plane over Detroit. These attempts reflect the Yemeni-Saudi organization's determination to continue to carry out sophisticated, mass-casualty terrorist attacks against the United States, thereby challenging the optimistic assessments made recently by senior US administration officials about al-Qaeda's imminent collapse.

Infamous Greyhound Beheader to be granted escorted community strolls?
If there is a case to be made in pleading "not guilty" by reason of insanity, Vince Li likely has one. Nearly four years ago, Li, a man who had previously managed to work in a church for six months (leaving behind a relatively amicable impression on the pastor there) became one of the most gruesome and notorious murderers in Canadian history.

Energy Density in the Driver's Seat
What is driving U.S. energy policy? One might say Obama, Jackson, Salazar, or even Holdren--or any politician whose visible hand redirects the market's invisible hand.

Liberals Try to Blame GOP for Democrat Wild Spending
As if anyone is surprised, (not likely), the liberal Democrats continue to roll out the Prevaricatin' Machine to blame the Republicans for the excessive spending that they, the Democrats, have done since 2007. I'm sure most everybody with any talent in reading or listening has heard the usurping parasite in OUR White House continue to blame the Democrat's spending on George W. Bush. Obama is actually going to stress Bush's fault for just about every thing that is wrong with our country as his reelection strategy.

What's Wrong With the SAFE Report?
Securing America's Energy Future (SAFE), a group of corporate CEOs and active and retired military officers with concerns about oil released a report entitled "The New American Oil Boom, Implications for Energy Security" via Its Energy Security Leadership Council.[ia] The report applauds increasing U.S. oil production (96% of which is occurring on non-federal lands) but concludes more supply will not sufficiently enhance energy security. Instead, the report concludes that real security comes from reducing dependence on oil as a transportation fuel, regardless of its source. The study promotes energy security through the following:

BIG CITY LIB
CHURCHVILLE, VA--The Heartland Institute, a Chicago libertarian think-tank, put up a billboard outside Chicago on May 3rd that showed a photo of a raddled-looking Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber. The cut line said, "I believe in man-made global warming. Do you?"

The Coos Bay Coast, Oregon
With a seemingly endless flow of money at his disposal, an obsessive penchant for pretty flowers blooming in manicured gardens, and not one, but two, ostentatious mansions to brag about, lumber baron Louis Simpson assembled and cultivated one of the grandest estates on the American West Coast between the 1920s and 1942. Perched on a sprawling bluff high above the raging Pacific, Simpson's masterpiece, known to the 21st century as Shore Acres, commanded stunning views of rugged headlands, teeming rookeries, offshore islands and sea stacks, and an enormous reef awash with thousands of feathered fowl and vast herds of marine mammals - seals and lions. Living in pinniped heaven, these blubbery beasts of the deep blue sea haul out now as they did back then, and lounge about on rocky ledges and in isolated coves under temperamental gray skies that are heavy, long and wide, but which mercifully turn blue during summer and fall.

Help Campobello Island fight Welshpool Wind Turbine Inflicting Local Council
The long suffering residents of the bucolic Campobello Island, New Brunswick would make a perfect case for why ratepayers can't trust municipal governments.
Life on Campobello was going along as usual when the Campobello Rural Council decided in their wisdom to add a wind turbine project to the lowing cows in the Village of Welshpool, Campobello Island.
