Judges comment "stories very good" this year
The Annual Star/Journal Christmas Story contest proved just as popular as ever this year with a large number of entries being submitted from area youngsters. Two divisions, kindergarten to grade 3, and grade 4 to grade 7 were offered. Two titles were supplied to entrants from which they had to write a story about The Elf Who Lived in the Christmas Tree, or How The Snowman Came to Life.
