PRIMROSE - A pickup truck was destroyed after it drove into the path of an oncoming transport truck Thursday afternoon (Feb. 2) on Highway 89 at Highway 10 in the village of Primrose.

Major funding added for parks and rec improvements
NEW TECUMSETH - Monday night, more than $400,000 of Parks, Recreation and Culture projects were added to this year's work schedule, along with new equipment and a number of other small items. To pay for the requests, finance staff are looking at old reserves, as well as to the hydro electric (HEC) reserve, tax rate stabilization reserve fund and debentures.

Sen. He suggested to the media the cells of serial murderers should be outfitted with rope.

Get the facts straight about the NVCA building
The building is a burden on the taxpayers of the township as it is unusable in its present state, and yet still needs to be looked after. If Mr. Duckworth was to check his facts he would find that the township will be making a profit, if it sells, and they are keeping the majority of the land as a riverfront park for the enjoyment of all residents. There is an offer on the property that is being considered, which should benefit the township, the taxpayers and the buyer. It will pleasantly surprise most people that are interested.

GLENCAIRN - The public works project to build an external drainage ditch to prevent flooding in the village was originally set at $395,000, but due to various added costs and additional engineering work, the budget will need to rise another 20 per cent to $475,000.
